FAQ
When should I arrive?
We ask you to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your float.
Do I need to bring anything?
No, we provide towels and products to use before and after your float. We even have a prep room in case you want to apply make-up or blow-dry your hair (we have the blow dryers).
Can I bring a friend?
Definitely! You can’t float together in the same tank but you can both float at the same time.
What if I’m claustrophobic?
You are always in control of your environment! People with claustrophobia consistently report no problems with floating. The sensation of floating in the tank is more like floating in space than in a confined area.  Plus, we have two Ocean Float Rooms in an effort to help claustrophobia worries disappear
How are the float tanks cleaned?
The highly sterile salt water is fully filtered through a sophisticated filtration system three times between each float and sanitized with a UV system and Hydrogen Peroxide.
Can I drown if I fall asleep?
No. Some people fall asleep but the water is so buoyant you stay afloat. The worst that can happen is getting a bit of salt water in your eye.
Can I Float if I am menstruating?
Sure, but please use the same procedure you would use in a swimming pool.
Can I float if I am pregnant?
Absolutely! Pregnant women have been using floating to relieve the stress on their bodies for a long time. If you are in your Trimester or have concerns please consult your physician before booking your float.
Can I float if I just dyed my hair?
We ask that you allow 3 days to pass and to wash your hair after dying it before entering the float tank.
Do physicians or physical therapists use or recommend floatation?
There are volumes of research from the past 40 years concerning the effects from floatation therapy. Physicians and researchers have tested and proven that floating is beneficial for reducing high blood pressure, relieving stress and anxiety, treating fibromyalgia, chronic pain, PTSD, and other physical and mental ailments.
Can I float for longer than 90 minutes?
Yes.  In response to an increasing demand for longer floats we have decided to offer 2.5 hour appointments. If you are interested in longer than 2 hours please talk to us and we will make it happen!
